Steve was born and raised in the Shreveport, Louisiana area, and he also spent some of his early years in and around Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Although his childhood was sometimes troubled, he rose from those ashes and he has used his story to help countless others through public speaking and mentorship. His adversities shaped him into the most cheerfully giving soul, and anyone who knows him would agree with that sentiment.

Steve gave his life to the Lord at age 37, and he has lived his life since then with the ethics of hard work and honesty. His favorite Biblical section is found in the book of Matthew, in The Sermon on the Mount. He lives by the principles Jesus taught there.

Chris Blackwell brings decades of experience as a guitarist, producer, recording artist, touring musician, and first-call session player to his work with Unshakeable Music. Raised in a musical family, he began playing at age 5 on his grandfather's acoustic guitar. Early exposure to his father's record collection and mentorship from his uncle, a professional musician, sparked a lifelong commitment to musicianship, recording, and the craft of serving a song.

Chris first went on the road at 15 and has since built a wide-ranging career both onstage and in the studio. His performance credits include work with A1A, the original and official Jimmy Buffett tribute band, Jennifer Holliday, T. Graham Brown, Bo Bice, Jimmy Hall of Wet Willie, the Gregg Allman Laid Back Legacy Band, and members of the Capricorn Rhythm Section. He has also maintained an active career performing with his own band.
